"No man with a true cause needs to be justified"

The term "artist" should always be viewed with a degree of suspicion. Adding it to the description of one's craft is often an excessive justification of what is being offered and/or overly compensating for social stigmas or personal insecurities. A painter or sculptor feels no need to refer to him/herself as a "painter artist" or a "sculptor artist". Tattooing as a medium is justified by millennia of tradition and ritual. There is no need to hyper quantify our craft.
